Replacing badly damaged overhead network cables
This school campus required careful planning as the buildings were separated by a grass verge with a dropped wall, down to an outdoor eating area and another stepped descent. As experts of underground installation, not only did we replace the weathered cables but, after taking below ground scans of the site, we reinstalled them underground.

Planning & Drilling
Overhead cables are more vulnerable to weather damage than those below ground, safely housed in strong ducting. This lovely school in Gwent had a badly damaged overhead network communication cable between their two main buildings so called Mole Group Utilities to replace this underground.
Mole Group’s team set up our small powerful drill rig and in one drill shot with an excavation at either end, pulled through ducting pipe to robustly house the required cable.
All our jobs are carefully planned and factors of ground conditions, elevation and site activity were looked at here. Following planning and preparation the job was complete in a day.
It won’t be long before the comms are bouncing through that network and the playground above is lively once again.
