Liverpool John Moores University invited David Furlong to present a lecture to their Master of Engineering students as part of their Energy Management module.  He was delighted with the opportunity to share knowledge of directional drilling techniques and how these can be applied not just to construction, but also to install car charging points, network cables and wind turbines.  As well as trenchless technology case studies and know how, Dave talked about his own innovation, the water saving CombiSave, and SmartFlower, the amazing solar paneled ‘moving sculpture’.  They had all seen LJMU’s own SmartFlower proudly soaking up the scouse sunshine on the university’s site! ????
The students asked great questions and Dave enjoyed the chance to share 30 years’ experience with engineers of the future.
