Responsive Trenchless Drilling for SP Energy Networks

Mole Utilities have a positive, responsive approach to requests for small-scale, 1-day jobs. If we can schedule a short notice drill to help out a client we will always endeavour to do so. Trenchless drilling under roads is one of our specialities.

On 3rd October 2017, we received an enquiry to install 18m of 185mm2 LV cable underneath a road in north Wales. SPEN had already trenched across fields and needed to take the cable underneath a country road with a quick turnaround. By 10th October we had quoted, agreed the scope of works, obtained permissions and mobilised the drilling team.

On 17th October we arrived at site and completed the work in one day to everyone’s satisfaction without needing to close the road.
