Keeping things moving at Holywell Hospital

Keeping local traffic moving:

One of the many benefits of directional drilling is that busy roads can remain open during work as we go underneath rather than digging up the surface.

A recent job near Holywell Hospital in North Wales was a good example of this when our team completed a drill under a busy road that if shut, would have caused delays and access problems for hospital visitors and staff.

The picture below shows the pipe being pulled into position: a 110mm drain with a 1:100 fall between chambers using out small pit launch drill rig over a distance of 44m. The client, Williams Homes, were very pleased with this solution, helping them near completion on a new development of homes.

Our team’s attention to detail was commendable and they completed a tricky drill on time, on budget and without our usual level of accuracy and expertise.
