Rerouting Drainage Beneath Meadow Springs Country & Leisure Park

G F Grigg Construction Ltd contacted us as they had to reroute the drains beneath a road and stream as part of a much wider project to prepare for a fantastic holiday park.

Surveying the area and establishing the best drill route

We’re always happy to carry out Ground Penetration Surveys (GPS) for our clients. This helps us to check for any utilities in the working area. But on this contract Griggs arranged this themselves, and once we had established the area was safe to drill, and agreed the best route, we got started.

Having surveyed the site for accessibility we made a neat excavation at either end of the installation to send and receive the pipe (shown in deep mud on our pictures!). Using our small but powerful drill rig, we horizontally drilled a distance of 50m beneath land and water to a depth of 4.3m to bring 90mm duct through for the rising main.

Whilst the mud wasn’t too kind on our overalls due to the heavy rainfall, it was lovely and soft for our drill rig! Once the preparation and set up had been carried out, the final installation was done in a day and our happy client, along with the Mole team, could go home to dry out.
